We view it as our fellow responsibility to create garments that are produced under sustainable conditions, in organic materials, with non-harmful dyes. Our products comply with the strictest organic certification on the market, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), so you can rest assured that every process, from harvesting to weaving and spinning, complies with the requirements set by this leading organisation.
The environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing can be traced all the way to the finished Nativ Scandinavia garment.
Nativ Scandinavia works only with with factories where the makers receive better than living wage, allowing them to need only one job with regular hours, and to grow and prosper in their roles. We make it mandatory that the suppliers we work with have a functional wastewater treatment plant on-site, and 95% of the waste involved in printing our garments is fully recycled. Our factories keep full records of the use of chemicals, energy and water consumption.
We have made printing and dyeing with toxic substances prohibited, and we never use dyes containing heavy metals, formaldehyde, solvents or genetically modified organisms (GMO). Even our accessories such as buttons, labels and swingtags never contain PVC. The results of these stringent requirements is that the communities we work with, and the children that finally wear the clothes, are protected against the unethical and damaging impact that non-organic production can cause.
To take care of the workers that we co-operate with, their families and their communities, we are committed to creating a fairer world.
